Seedance 2.5, from ByteDance, is the strongest video model in the Seedance line here. It generates clips of up to 30 seconds at resolutions from 480p to 1080p with audio created alongside the picture, and it accepts a deep stack of references: images, audio and reference video clips.
It covers several jobs in one model. Text-to-video from a prompt, image-to-video from a first frame, a first and last frame for a controlled transition, and video-to-video restyling driven by reference clips.
What it does well
- Long clips. Duration is any whole number of seconds from 4 to 30, so a single run can cover a full scene.
- A lot of references. Up to 30 images, 10 audio files and 10 video clips can be attached to one run.
- Cited in the prompt. Reference your uploads as
@Image 1,@Video 1and@Audio 1so the instruction binds to the right file. - Multi-shot prompts. Write "Shot 1:", "Shot 2:" to lay out a sequence inside one clip.
- Playback choices. Output codec can be left on auto or set to h264 for playback everywhere, and the format can be mp4 or mov.
Prompting tips
Describe each shot the way you would brief a camera operator: subject, action, framing, then mood. Cite references by their number rather than describing them again. Generate at 480p while you are still shaping the prompt, then move to 720p or 1080p for the keeper. The model's own 1080p encode is 10-bit HEVC, which some browsers cannot play; choose h264 if the clip will be viewed on the web.
Limits to know
Reference videos are priced differently: supplying one switches to a lower per-second rate but bills the combined length of the reference clips on top of your output length, so the total is quoted before you run. Reference videos must be between 2 and 30 seconds each. Input images outside the accepted size range can be auto-resized instead of rejected.

What does video-to-video mean here?
You attach one or more reference clips and describe the result. The model uses them for motion and style, and you are billed for the clips' combined length as well as your output.
How do I point the prompt at a specific reference?
Cite it by type and number: @Image 1, @Video 1, @Audio 1. Other bracket styles are not recognised.
How much does Seedance 2.5 cost?
Seedance 2.5 is priced by setting: $0.055 to $0.532 per second of output, depending on the options you choose. The exact price for your settings is shown on the Run button before you spend anything, and a failed run costs $0.00.
How long does a Seedance 2.5 run take?
The measured average is ~3m 55s, end to end. Longer outputs and higher settings take longer. The API is asynchronous: you get a request id at once, then poll it or receive a webhook when the result is ready.
How do I call Seedance 2.5 from code?
Send a POST to https://api.ezflows.io/v1/models/seedance-2.5 with your API key and the parameters as a JSON body. It answers 202 with a request id and a poll URL; poll it until the status is final, or register a webhook. Examples in curl, Python and JavaScript are on the API page.
